BRITISH FASHION AWARDS 2011: THE MEMORABLE WINNERS

Excited Ms. Burton holding up her statutte

VICTORIA BECKHAM didn’t see it coming. When Marc Jacobs handed her the statuette as the “Designer Brand” of the year, she nearly broke down in tears. This is understandable. Do you know what it means to beat fashion heavyweights like Tom Ford and Burberry to clinch this award? This year, her creations saw media and critics appraisals as a designer that leaves huge impacts with her inimitable creativity. Also, SARAH BURTON, Creative Director at Alexander McQueen got awarded as well at The Savory Hotel and Theatre, London. She won the most prestigious category: “Designer of the Year”, an award McQueen won four times during his lifetime (in 1996, 1997, 2001 and 2003).
