The Nigerian Fashion Industry has over the years grown in leaps and bounds and the world is watching with keen interest. The recent agreement signed between INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CONSORTIUM LTD. and SOUTH AFRICAN ARTIST MGT., LLP. attests to this fact. The agreement provides a leeway for Nigerian fashion models and designers to showcase in the London Fashion Week, coming up in February 2012. Models will be picked through physical selection in Nigeria and by Z-cards (in London). Some of the Nigerian designers expected to showcase at LFW 2012 are House of J’Ola, Farrah Couture, Reedas and supermodels from ISIS MODELS (that featured in FTV’s Best of Haute Couture, NYFW, 2011).
Also, at every integral stage of this huge project will be the presence of VAUXHALL FASHION SCOUT, who will be on hand to cover every aspect of the casting to the runway show in London. VAUXHALL FASHION SCOUT, labelled “talent goldmine” by Vogue.com, launched in 2004. They play very crucial role in the shape of things as far as London Fashion Week is concerned. They have supported designers to build successful creative businesses and were the first to support fashion bloggers as well. They are also the only independent event to host men’s catwalk shows in London Fashion Week.
The regular guests at the 6-day London Faashion Week include VOGUE, ELLE, HARPERS BAZAAR, DAZED, LOVE, TANK, GQ, ESQUIRE, DAILY TELEGRAPH, TIMES, GUARDIAN, INDEPENT, VOGUE.COM, STYLE.COM, VOGUE.IT, STYLE BUBBLE, LONDON LIBERTY GIRL, DAZED, DIGITAL, FASHION MONITOR, HARRODS, SELFRIDGES, HARVEY NICHOLS, BROWNS, CRUISE, MATCHES, B-STORE, SAKS to mention but a few.
PS: In related development, THE GAMBIA FASHION NIGHT OUT 2011, holds this weekend. ISIS MODELS are expected to strut the runway. Stay tuned for the pictures which will be out in few days!
